New winter service announced by
Comefly – Monarch Airlines starting December 19th 2011

This great news and comes off the
back of the very successful summer service offered during 2011, Monarch have decide
to increase the flights to meet the very busy demand from December thru May.

The Danish tour operator Comefly who
lease a 358 seat A-330 Airbus from Monarch Airlines, A British based carrier,
for the non stop flights from Aalborg to Fort Myers Int’l

The twice weekly service will starting
December 19th, the new service is significant because it opens up a new market
for the Gulf Coast which has many visitors from Europe year around, currently
the only other European service is offered by Air Berlin.

Comefly’s target demographic is traveling families from Denmark
and nearby countries. For example, Aalborg is a two-hour drive from Hamburg,
Germany, has free parking and no departure tax on travelers.

Representatives from the Lee County Port Authority have just recently
had meetings with executives from Monarch Airlines and are in talks regarding
starting a non-stop service from the UK.   Monarch airlines through their tour operator sister
company “Cosmos Holidays” already offer vacation packages to consumers from the
UK wishing to visit South West Florida
